Yakima Tourist Attractions
Ahtanum Youth Park
Located just east of 16th Avenue on Ahtanum, this large park offers shade from the heat through its many trees, basketball courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, a play area for children, restrooms, covered areas with picnic tables,a dog training course, a bike (motocross) track, volleyball courts, BBQ areas, plenty of gravel parking, and water fountains.
Central Business District
16 blocks by North and South 1st Street, Lincoln Ave, Naches Ave, and Walnut Ave. Planted street areas, benches, etc.
Cherry Park
North 4th Avenue and Cherry Street Picnic tables, playground equipment.
John Chesterley Park
North 40th Avenue and River Road. Built for the growing need of soccer fields at the time, the park is used mainly for soccer tournaments but also includes picnic tables, grills, covered areas, play toys, a vending machine, a snack bar and restrooms.
Eisenhower
South 44th Avenue and Arlington Outdoor swimming pool, 6 tennis courts.
Elks Memorial Park
Between N 6th Ave and N 16th Ave on Hathaway, N of Fruitvale. Picnic tables placed throughout the park, 6 little league ball diamonds, volleyball courts, two sets of playground equipment, 26 lighted horseshoe pits, restrooms, a concession stand open during baseball games, and a parking lot.
